Our Giant RV Movement
So lately there’s been a lot of stuff going around about this ‘Tiny House’ movement where people are living in little 400 square foot houses and apartments to lessen their environmental impact and ‘live a simpler life’ and whatnot. Well, I had not heard about this until about 2 months ago when I saw something that one of my friends shared from some news site about it. This, of course, means that I had not heard of it 7 months ago (in May) when my husband and I decided to buy the 41′ fifth wheel that we moved into a couple days ago. Yup, I was a part of a movement before I even knew about it. Does that make me a pioneer?
So Here we are – myself, my husband, our 2 daughters (Summer, almost 7 and Ivy, 2), and our 2 dogs (Buddy the half-Newfoundland and Stitch the Shiht-Poo) – living in about 410 square feet of awesomeness on my in-laws’ property.
Are we crazy? We’ll see. Are we going to make it work? You betcha we are!

Thank you! I’m actually a little bit surprised at exactly HOW much I like living in such a small space. I knew I’d be ok with it, but I really love it. I keep trying to think of things that I miss about living in our house, but I’m not coming up with much. It’s pretty awesome!
Same here! I sold my house and moved into a much smaller condo. I can’t think of a thing I miss. I can’t wait to read more about your adventures. 🙂
